Why fight?
Subject: Why fight?
What is all this fight/dispute stuff? Can you not just ask a question as to why this was corrected? When I was an MT, no matter how frustrated and confused I was about QA feedback, I was professional and simply asked a question like this: Perhaps I missed something somewhere, but I don't understand why...
There is also such a thing as giving the benefit of the doubt like I stated in my above note. MTs are constantly using wrong formatting for exams, and I say in my head: Well, perhaps they were on another account for 4 hours today and got switched all of a sudden.

Subject: Yeah, but I believe the OP did mention that research had been done...sm
The OP had used Google and found instances of both words being used. Sounds more like the OP was looking for some help with the proper usage of the word in the context of a report. I don't see why she (or he) caught any grief for asking for opinions on the proper term to use.

when doing the Google wildcard search you can use the MINUS(-) exception to narrow the search matches; you can also enter multiple asterisks within the quotes, e.g. "medial * * skin lesion" -biopsy will return all possible matches EXCEPT biopsy; hope that's not confusing...and hope it helps.
