However, capitalize a department name that is referred to as an entity.

internal units
Lowercase common names for internal units of an organization.


The patient's medication was changed because apparently the pharmacy can no longer obtain paregoric.


Exception: Capitalization may be used for such internal units in the entity's references to itself in its own formal and/or legal documents.


Please note the change in Pharmacy hours...


Capitalize internal elements when their names are not generic terms.

I love it when we can "out wit" them. Of course a lot of these guys, not only ESLs, make up the stuff. The first thing they taught  was about the prefixes etc in the old transcription classes. I had been typing for about 2 years when they offered the class at a junior college where my husband was attending, he got me the book, which I still have, and I almost keeled over at all the different combos etc.
