Lung disease
Subject: Lung disease
This is exactly how the Dr. dictated it-- The patient is a plethoric, tremulous, dyspneac looking like a patient with chronic obstructive lung disease or sleep apnea.
Did she mean to leave the a out before plethoric? That would make more sense but I know you guys would no better than I. I'm still in school and learning. Thanks for the help!
Please SM re lung disease

Sometimes an "uh" sounds very much like "a."
Here is how I would transcribe it: The patient is plethoric, tremulous, and dyspneic, looking like a patient with chronic obstructive lung disease or sleep apnea.

Crohn's disease is the correct form
Subject: Crohn's disease is the correct form
Crohn's disease was named after Dr. Burrill B. Crohn, who first described the disease, and along with his colleagues published a paper about the disease.
AAMT has its own UNORTHODOX style of transcription. Transcribed reports should have the same style as the medical text books that MDs follow so that it would be easy on them if they can see a "familiar style" in the text of the reports. AAMT's style differs a lot from the style of the medical text books. No wonder that is causing a burden on the doctors that they have to even emphasize the style in their dictations.

I read your other post on this.
What he is dictating is the range of frequencies that they're testing within the entire bandwidth, and the intervals.
Sort of like, your car can go from 0-120 mph (bandwidth). We're looking at the gas mileage between 40-60 mph (bandpass), at 5 mph intervals.
Probably a bad analogy, but hopefully it helps. LOL
