Subject: sniffing sharpie

Well, I've heard it all.  The latest thing in my neighborhood middle schools is for the kids to walk around with a sharpie pen in their mouth - sniffing them to get high.  Can't you just imagine seeing a schoolful of 12-15 year-olds walking around with pens sticking out of their mouths?  Has anyone ever heard of this before?

When I was checking out at Wal-Mart yesterday, the checker said he had just received a new list of things that you have to be 17 years old or older to purchase.  One of the items was Sharpies and another one was WD-40.  I guess they huff that too.  In another vein, he said if you buy 22-caliber bullets he has to ask you if it's for a pistol or a rifle.  If you say rifle, that's fine.  But if you say pistol, he can't sell them to you.  What's it coming to????
