Regarding her hands and upper extremities, there is notable thenar atrophy at the right hand with APB weakness. s/l Apponing strength was good bilaterally. She does have a positive CMC grind test.
Pt with MS, s/; "Tatense" is decreased over the right upper extremity.

EXTREMITIES: There is edema of the right ankle at the site of fracture times two. Trace to 1+ on the left, significantly diminished pulses equal 0-1 DP and PT lower extremities bilaterally. Normal upper.

The finger is swollen with a small opening on the s/l fulmer aspect of the ring finger at the DIP joint area. He is not saying volar or palmar aspect. It sounds like "fulmer." I'm stumped. Any help is appreciated.
