Subject: s/l oprophial syndrome (white count elevated)
Pt has had an elevated white count. There may be an early, mild s/l oprophial syndrome (trying to spell it the best I can by the way it sounds).
Thanks for any help

Can anyone help me? My report is on a person diagnosed with bacterial endocarditis, with progressive respiratory failure, pneumomediastinum and 103F temperature. an x-ray showed air under the high diaphragm. the white count was elevated to 18,200 from which 50% were (s/l) run. Am I hearing correct? Also, an EGD showed several s/l "oon takes" in the stomach. If you can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks
