I'm doing a pulmonary consultation and on a chest x-ray he dictates what sounds like scoffing at the diaphragm.  He goes on to say that it could be "perhaps an anterior pleural effusion versus density."  Any help would be appreciated.  TIA

should be diaphragmatic paralysis.  Maybe doc is like so many other doctors that think just because they have gone through 8 years of medical school that it gives them license to make up words.  Boy, are we grossly underpaid!!
It does s/l phrenic lesions, could that be correct in terms of anatomy, relating to diaphragm?
