scaffoid vs. scaphoid
Subject: scaffoid vs. scaphoid
I was wondering if anybody knew of a good legitimate website or some other source where I can find "scaffoid". In PE's in the Abdomen section they almost always use this word and since "scaphoid" is referring to the scaphoid ossa by process of elimination I assume they're referring to the former, however I'm having a hard time verifying this. I will continue using "scaffoid" unless told otherwise. Also if someone can tell me what it means that would be greatly appreciated too. The one place I found it on a website said it meant, "flat".

Subject: Irvine gas? Eye injury.
Interesting presentation of zonular dehiscence from the blunt trauma with prolapse of vitreous subsequently addressed by Dr. ******* but has progressed with a variant of an "Irvine gas", marked swelling of the optic nerve as well as macular pucker.
He says Irvine gas very clearly, but I've never see this in that context. Does this look right?
