This is something my ortho docs dictate a lot, usually in a series, i.e., no giving way, weakness, swelling, patellar pain, etc.
It could also be as you have it - give-way or giving-away weakness, just depending on the doc.

bilateral caloric weakness
Subject: bilateral caloric weakness
The caloric test is a part of the ENG. It reflects an attempt to discover the degree to which the vestibular system is responsive and also how symmetric the responses are, between left and right. It is a test of the lateral semicircular canals alone -- it does not assess vertical canal function or otolithic function. While not as good as we would like, the caloric test is the best that we have.

Subject: There is Epivir, but this is a drug used for AIDS or HIV
Don't know what diagnoses this patient has, most of the drugs that end in "ivir" are AIDS/HIV drug related medications. If the patient does not have this, that will eliminate a lot of looking.
