Subject: probably zero and 50% effaced.

effacement is thinning of the cervix that occurs during pregnancy as delivery nears. Zero could be dilation of cervix or baby's station.

it would be something like patient presents at 7 cm dilation, 50% effaced, with the head at -1, or sometimes just as numbers with slashes 7/50/-1. I'm not positive of the order of the values, though. Maybe someone more experienced with OB notes can help you there. You wouldn't have specific numbers like 6.9 etc., at least not that I've ever heard of. nm

Is this the proper way to transcribe this- 0 in 50%?  It looks akward.
