Have you ever heard of it? I've done plently of total hip arthro, have have typed many a mm head and neck, but never posterior, nor can I verify, has anyone ever heard of it and have a clue where I could verify it?

various modifications for posterior vertical limb.
Shorter superior flap allows midline lip splitting extension with less likelihood of loss of tip (Becker 1984, fig 3c)
