please help with a s/l (sm)

"The patient has been having some GI problems, _______, and is being treated by Dr. ... at ..."

It sounds like an-thi-a-sis, am-phi-a-sis or maybe "and" instead of that first syllable. I'm thinking instead of "phi" it could be "phag" related to swallowing, but I can't find anything similar with that sis ending I distinctly hear.

Referred for evaluation of thoracic and abdominal aortic aneurysms found on CAT scan, but GI symptoms include loose and frequent bowel movements, no postprandial pain, no weight loss, recent weigh gain.

Thanks for any suggestions!
