plantar flexion
Subject: plantar flexion
Okay - maybe this is a stupid question, but dorsiflexion is a word - I looked it up in Dorland's (but I have an older version). But, plantarflexion seems not to be a word; I thought it was - modeling it after dorsiflexion. So, is plantarflexion a real word or is it just plantar flexion?

MRI scan of the foot shows some thickening in the midportion of the plantar s/l fornosis, more likely a result of chronic plantar faciitis than focal plantar fibroma. Also some T2 signal abnormality in the abductor hallucis, indicative of neurogenic edema.
Also would T2 be the correct way to type that? tia.
