Subject: Because AP, lateral and oblique ?are singular

    ...

I'm probably confused, but using the explanation presented it seems like this should be: "Because AP, lateral and oblique is singular,..."
Aren't AP, lateral, and oblique adjectives?
Subject: Aren't AP, lateral, and oblique adjectives?

Aren't "AP, lateral, and oblique" adjectives? If so, then "views" would be the inferred subject and would therefore make the verb plural.
Because AP, lateral and oblique are singular then it is "was", if it was laterals and obliques
Subject: Because AP, lateral and oblique are singular then it is "was", if it was laterals and obliques (plural) then it would be "were"...

With words that indicate portions—percent, fraction, part, majority, some, all, none, remainder, and so forth —look at the noun in your of phrase (object of the preposition) to determine whether to use a singular or plural verb. If the object of the preposition is singular, use a singular verb. If the object of the preposition is plural, use a plural verb.

Examples: Fifty percent of the pie has disappeared.
Pie is the object of the preposition of.
Fifty percent of the pies have disappeared.
Pies is the object of the preposition.
One-third of the city is unemployed.
One-third of the people are unemployed.

    NOTE: Hyphenate all spelled-out fractions.

All of the pie is gone.
All of the pies are gone.
Some of the pie is missing.
Some of the pies are missing.

    Merchant's view x-ray
My orthopedic surgeon and I are having a go around in regards to x-rays views.  He wants "Merchant view," I say it is "Merchant's view" (being possessive since it is Dr. Merchant that it is named after.  Yet when I search the Internet it comes up in doctor's literature, medical schools, radiology offices as all of the above as well as "Merchants view."  My daughter who graduated recently with a major in English said it should be "Merchant's view," that the possessive is the correct way.  Any opinions out there?
