There is no dash in the abbreviation. The "C" stands for continuous - continuous positive airway pressure. The MD probably just has a preference for his to look that way. Since it is a verbatim account, I would do as he requests - on his work only. Continue to use the correct CPAP elsewhere. You're right - he's wrong, but he's the doc!
