such as, I end each letter from my doc with "Thank you for the referral of the patient." Sincerely, John R. Brown, MD JEB/trh. I know there must be a way to store this so that all I have to do is strike 1 key to end my letters, but I don't knave a clue how to do this. Anyone have any suggetstions? Thanks
Type up what you want to "quick-type" (including font, color, format--just the way you want it to look when you normally type it in), then highlight it all. At the top of the Word toolbar, click on "Insert." In the drop-down menu is "AutoText" with an arrow. Go onto the arrow, and there should be another drop-down menu. Click on "New." Write a simple title for it (like "JEB" or "Brown"). From that point on, you should be able to type in the title and AutoText will automatically place this in your work. Let me know if this works for you (I do it all the time--saves my poor fingers!).

Characters would be less for 1-9 as opposed to one through nine. It also depends on client preference. It is hard to train your fingers to do one or the other. I am old-school and have always done one through nine, 10, 11, 12, and so on. I have to retrain my fingers. I also have an account that requires I type the 1st the time the patient came in, and the other requirest the first time the patient came in.

are private surgical hospitals, and even with laparoscopies, cystoscopies, hysteroscopies, etc., there are small 1cm incisions, but you are very correct, with either upper OR lower endoscopies (colon or sigmoid) you would have the scope directly inserted..........does anyone else get hired on for "one or two" accounts and end up with a dozen??? just wondering after all this time....

they should care
Subject: they should care
well, who should care? The MT him or herself. This can be a crutch IMO. And, no, my opinion doesn't amount to a pile o' beans in the grand scheme of things. Maybe my post should have been more helpful, than critical, and should have asked posters if they know how to search. I've gotten really good at it and can find just about anything really. For instance, someone just recently posted ligament of Treitz question. All I did was google, ligament of *. Bingo!
Anyway, to the person who said I should just use the back button, pfft.
