osteonecrosis- pt had "a bone scan significant for area of intense focal [s/l bony labeling]"?
Subject: osteonecrosis- pt had "a bone scan significant for area of intense focal [s/l bony labeling]"?

The whole sentence reads thusly:

The patient also underwent bone scan, this being significant for an area of intense [s/l focal bony labeling] involving the lateral epicondyle of the right femur in an individual without history of trauma, and given his history of aseptic necrosis of the femoral head, it was felt that this might be reflective of osteonecrosis including "osteochondritis desiccans."

Thanks in advance for any help.

s/l floracid uptake
Subject: s/l floracid uptake

The patient was seen again still complaining of significant amounts of ocular pain and photophobia.  On examination, the patient did demonstrate a decrease in the s/l floracid uptake and continued to show no evidence of a stromal infiltrate.

I was thinking maybe it could be fluorescent uptake?  Any thoughts?
