I've heard a number of variations, II to XII, III to XII, or even statements that certain cranial nerves were not tested. He may be wanting to be very specific as to which nerves he actually tested and which ones he didn't. Hope this helps.

yes preserved is correct, there is a joint position sense that is tested also.
