There are thousands and thousands of words in the English to convey thoughts, but seemingly our English has gone to pot. Dumbing down of America in fact!

What's the rule of thumb regarding made up words such as bruisability?
There's an ENT doc who is about to drive me insane! I can't find just one word.

I've wasted about an hour today looking for this one word the dictator uses over and over. I'll copy the sentence:
"Larynx and pharynx examination reveals normal adenoids, ____________, eustachian tubes, pharyngeal walls, piriform sinuses, epiglottis, false and true cords immobility to mirror and direct laryngoscopy."
The missing word sounds like "coin-ee." I've pulled old reports and everyone has left it out. Also can't tell for sure that he's saying immobility. Doesn't seem like immobility of the vocal cords would be desirable. Shouldn't it be mobility?
Somebody out there must be better at ENT than I.
