I found Bier block but the doc is saying what sounds like Bier-tage.

Docs usually dictate "viscous lidocaine"  or "viscous Xylocaine" (I usually only hear lidocaine) but the when you research, the drugs are actually "lidocaine viscous" and "Xylocaine viscous."   The viscous is the medium through which the medication is administered.

After a Betadine prep, the region was anesthetized with 1% lidocaine with epinephrine, 1 mL was used. A 0.5-cm incision was made with a #11 blade. The hematoma was evacuated by providing pressure. It was probed with s/l pick-ups/take-ups.
