Total ethmoidectomies were then performed in the usual fashion beginning in the bulla ethmoidalis and working back toward the face of the sphenoid. The dissection then turned up along the bone of the ethmoids back towards the argronave sound frontal recess

The dissection then proceeded from posterior to anteriorly along the skull base superiorly and the lamina (?? lalle) with removal of diseased tissue.
