If a patient has had spine surgery, the MRI is more than likely done with contrast. The contrast causes the MRI to "signal" when the contrast is bright in any area. That's what it means.

If I am looking for a catheter, instrument, etc., if the little "R" registered trademark is used, usually it is correct, because they don't go to the trouble to put the trademark if they aren't being reasonable conscientious about spelling it right.
HOWEVER....sometimes I get multiple results with the "R" and they're different. In that case, I try to find the site for the company that manufactures the item. It is usually listed on the first page of Google results.
A lot of the more well-known drugs have their own sites - like www.coumadin.com.

The patient had a bone scan demonstrating findings suspicious for osseous metastases. "There was sclerosis seen involving the left acromion and left ilium. However, the skull findings [s/l equivocal as of normality?] and plain film appears to correspond to a sclerotic area involving the inner table." Does that make sense as is?
