just remember s is for speech as in difficulty speaking, and g is for gut -getting the food to the gut difficulty swallowing. Probably in this case we're talking dysphagia. Use dysphasia for patients with difficulty speaking after stroke, etc.

I am really stumped on this one. It sounds like the doctor is saying "he clealry has a peroneal plastic center with the dysphagia, which is unlikely to get better." Any ideas what the peroneal ? is

This is confusing.
Doc is making a referral to a speech therapist because patient is having difficulty with s/l dysphagia/dysphasia with apples and peanut butter.
Dysphagia relates to swallowing and dysphasia relates with speech.
I think it would be dysphagia as he relates apples and peanut butter. Does a speech therapist help with swallowing difficulties?
