Vicryl is correct. Just abbreviating it, i.e. "vike".

I have a doc who is repairing a finger laceration. He says he used 4 simple interrupted 5.0 nylon sutures. Does he mean 5-0 nylon sutures, or is there such a thing as a 5.0 nylon suture?

Skin was approximated with continuous (s/l lap) sutures of 5-0 nylon.
This is an op note on a patient's toes.
