Subject: low-osmolar and isosmolar contrast media,
Cardiac catheterization is a relatively safe procedure but has a well-defined risk of morbidity and mortality. The potential risk of major complications during cardiac catheterization may be difficult to ascertain because of the confounding aspects of comorbid disease and disparities in methods used to collect complication data.
The use of low-osmolar and isosmolar contrast media, lower profile diagnostic catheters, reduced anticoagulation, and extensive operator experience all serve to reduce the incidence of complications further.

Interestingly the PET scan revealed minimal FDG uptake in the right thyroid bed consistent with the right anterior tracheal lesion, and also minimal uptake in what is believed to be persistent thymic tissue in the "intra-media-stynum", but nowhere else is it noted. MRI was reviewed as well. This confirms a 1.4 cm enlarged lymph node on the right side at the level of C3......

I often type IQ scores in which the patient ends up having low-average intelligence or above-average intelligence and always hyphenate these because they ARE compound adjectives ("above" modifies "average"), used TOGETHER to modify "intelligence," whereas, presumably, "small" and "moderate," as stated, are one OR the other (or even somewhere in between)!
I know, it's exhausting.
