what is a cavitary lesion please?
Subject: what is a cavitary lesion please?

I had an ER report -- tooth pain.  I am sure doctor said cavitary lesion, but when I did a Google search because this was something that I have never heard before I only found that it was a lung lesion?  I left those spots blank where he said caviatary because I was unsure and now QA has confirmed cavitary, but I am still not sure this is correct.  All I could find on cavitary pertained to the lung. Help please . . . I would really like to know for my own peace of mind.
