RBC/HPF OR red blood cells/high-powered field (the first is preferred since it is well-known laboratory abbreviation).

Here are some uncommon ones that might help in the future.  Monocular visual field.   Visual field superior 36 taped-and-untaped (checking for lid droop).   Mac-to-red visual field (macular threshold to red, for patients that use Plaquenil).   Hope this helps.

everyone going by their own rules. There is no consistency. And thanks to that we're now pretty much considered non professionals IMO. I say bring on the mandatory licensing/certification to bring the professionalism back to the field!

then I either realized or someone told me they were saying *below-knee amputation*.....was 25 years ago!!!  They can talk so fast....I remember this Panamanian MD said what turned out to be *pedestrian* but said it like *PA-des-TRY-yan* with emphasis on the caps, and it took me forever that day to figure out he meant pedestrian....as his accents were usually always on the wrong syllables.
