It should be T1b. The b is in lower case.

I am fairly new to a radiation oncology clinic and the doctor is saying "pathologic stage y2a." Am I doing the y2a part right? I can't seem to find this in my reference books. Thanks!

The patient has endometrial cancer, doc says: grade 3 1 b carcinoma.  Anyone know how to type this?  I'd really appreciate any help..I just don't get all the staging, grading, "other descriptors", metastasis.  And then the doctors make up there own it seems...  Thanks a million for any help!

She clearly says stage IIA py - is the py right?!?!?!? I have heard yp, but never py - is it the same thing???

I've checked my BOS and googled, but I'm still not sure of the proper way to transcribe this. 


This is a patient with a history of stage III colon cancer, s/l Tc N1 with 2 out of 8 positive mesenteric lymph nodes.


Do I have the Tc N1 part correct?

and then tried your letters. I got one hit with NEF, and that's where I stopped. So try plugging those in with TNM first, because that's what they usually call those.

I'm typing a report that says the patient has infiltrating ductal carcinoma, ER positive, PR positive and something that sounds phonetically like "hir-tu-nu" positive.  Anybody know what she's talking about?  Later she says "node positive" so I suspect it has something to do with lymph nodes.  Thanks in advance!

An imaging test used to find overactive parathyroid glands (four pea-sized glands found on the thyroid) and breast cancer cells, and to diagnose heart disease. The patient receives an injection of a small amount of a radioactive substance called technetium which is bound to another substance called sestamibi. This substance collects in overactive glands, cancer cells, heart muscle, or other tissues and a picture is taken by a gamma camera (a special camera that detects radioactivity).

The lady who is doing well after her left partial mastectomy and sentinel lymph node biopsy. All three sentinel lymph nodes were negative for malignancy. In the partial mastectomy, __scarsman__ II tumors were identified. The first was an invasive carcinoma, moderately differentiated, measuring 1.5 centimeters in maximum dimension associated with DCIS which was also of intermediate nuclear grade.


I have looked under types of tumor, and googled it under different terms and cannot come up with anything.  I'm probably not even close!
