The patient is 8-10 weeks post repair for recurrent cystourethrocele in cuff. She is still not healed. She is a diabetic, and it had been lowering her hormones. She had granulation tissue, which we cauterized. She will continue vaginal cream "in the pelvic vas", and will see her back in 2 weeks. or maybe "and the pelvic vest" does anyone know? thank you
Do you know what the platelet count is?
Subject: Do you know what the platelet count is?
You can have high risk of thrombotic events OR bleeding from high platelets depending on the specific situation, disorder, or you can get hemorrhagic stroke from low platelets, too.

Need help with letter I am typing re platelet counts
Subject: Need help with letter I am typing re platelet counts
The studies demonstrated carotid artery disease but, also, she has a platelet count of 1004 k per cmm and persistent reduction in her hemoglobin and hematocrit at 9.4 and 31.5.
Does anyone know how to format this? I can't find the K at all in relation to these values, but doc is clearly saying, 1004 K per cmm. thank you.
re: Need help with letter I am typing re platelet counts
Subject: re: Need help with letter I am typing re platelet counts
K is abbreviation for thousands; also used as abbreviation for potassium. platelets are expressed in thousands.
I think the 1004 k/cmm should be expressed this way.

Pelvic pain clinic today
Subject: Pelvic pain clinic today
Hello all! I have been asked to fill if for a pelvic pain clinic this week so this might not be the last time I'll have to ask for help since I'm not used to this terminology!
Here is the question - on an endometrial biopsy:
Cervix ___ with tenaculum. Swabbed with Betadine. Sounded to the depths of 10 centimeters. Good specimen obtained.
At first I though he was saying "washed" but then looked up tenaculum and that appears to be a scissor-type instrument that is used for stretching so I don't think that is the right word. Thanks for the help!
