This is my fave med site as well as hard cover publication, MPR.

Go to this site: http://www.empr.com/

See the "therapeutic categories" Click.on GI and then on the first sentence that lists ulcers.

You can also click on the med itself to check the dosage.

Died of GERD?

Can GERD really kill you? I've got a doc who sounds like she is saying "She has a sister who died of gastroesophageal reflux."

But all my attempts at Googling have failed to unearth anything that said GERD was a life-threatening disease... Do I really need my ears checked or is this something that could actually happen?

I imagine the doctor is saying the patient had a sister who died with GERD.

Poorly structured sentence. Sister had GERD and also died.
