I guess they know more than the maker of the catheter right? LOL I worked in a cath lab for 10 years for several cardiologists and I have never ever hyphenated it, but just like insurance companies dictate how doctors treat patients, AAMT dictates how companies spell their products. I guess. Don't mean to be unkind, but that's so ridiculous that because AAMT says it, that's how it should be. Wrong answer as far as I'm concerned. 7 French (no hypen) for years and years. No wonder it is such an argument in the OP's office.

When there is a question, I go to the website of the company that produces the product. As far as I can tell, in this case that is Cook Medical. They spell the product Pollack, so that is what I use. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong. TIA.
