So, 1 1/2 hours of dictation should only take 3-4 hours to transcribe. sm
Subject: So, 1 1/2 hours of dictation should only take 3-4 hours to transcribe. sm

then what in the H**l am I doing wrong. I just did 1 1/2 hours of dictation with 1350 line count and it took me like 12 hours. I did 4 hours last night uninterrupted. the rest this morning with little interruptions from my child (dh was home) and a couple breaks and lunch.

I thought 1350 lines were supposed to be full time work. That is what I have been hearing from so many people.

Now I am confused and really feeling like a failure as an MT. Maybe this is not my profession!
time to type 1.5 hours of dictation..
Subject: time to type 1.5 hours of dictation..

It usually takes me twice the time to transcribe the work.  If the doc is easy and you can go right from one template/document to the next, it should only take you like 4 hours at the most.  10-12 hours is an awful long time.  What kind of interruptions are you getting.
Thanks for taking the time... He has finished this horrible dictation and I will flag it.

In looking at previous reports, I noticed a lot of them were simply "mickey" or "Mickey" buttons and thought maybe I had been doing it wrong with the hyphenation.

You should ask your employer about account specifics, but the way I was taught was that if "hours" is dictated, then you should put "hours" and not "h."

I have done all of these years, but some physicians will allow you more time as long as you are reliable.  It also depends upon whether they use it for billing purposes.

Military time
0618 hours
Subject: 0618 hours

Military time is based on a 24-hour clock. "06" is 6 a.m. 6 p.m would be 1800 hours. You just add or subtract 12 to the time on the clock after noon to get the p.m. times.

I hope this clarifies. If you have any other questions, plase feel free to ask and I'll try to explain better.

Subject: mph is the correct way to abbreviate miles per hours, however,

if that is what he dictates, then I would use mph, or you can also spell it out miles per hour, both are acceptable, sometimes also depends on the client preference.  If you spell it out though, you can get more characters for your line count!
