I looked this up in Taber's. Under pleurocentesis, it does not give a definition and only says thoracentesis. Under thoracentesis, pleurocentesis is given as a synonem. Hope this helps.

Would this be correct-- maybe the forearm was prepped for IV, but this was not stated.
