I brought him to the operating suite and did cultures, which came back as coagulase-negative staphylococcus, corynebacterium and ___ species. The wound site was washed out and was cleaned.

Docs sometimes will say "culture grew "a" Pseudomonas...It makes you think the term starts with the letter "a" when it actually doesn't. :-)

I had a really good one that listed anything and everything you could ever think or imagine as far as bacteria is concerned.. didn't know there was so MUCH bacteria out there! dr. says the culture showed 10-25 Klebsiella.  I wanted verification whether I'm correct in assuming that she means 10,000-25,000.  Those are usually the kind of numbers that I hear.
