Subject: Thanks Derm MT - not original poster, but /sm

I wrote this one down -- cross-referencing in both "c" and "s"

Browsing this morning, I read original post and thought I had had "servant" as "cervatte" or something before -- looked up a couple different spellings, and could not find, so figured I must have been wrong and moved on. However, this one would have bugged me enough I would have spent more time searching later...

Glad you posted the correct answer.

Madhan's suggestion isn't a chart. If he specifically requests a chart I would type it that way. It doesn't matter what you think looks better. It matters what the doctor thinks looks better.

Buckwalter retractor and Buchwalter retractor (rather than the correct Bookwalter?). There were several others, but I can't recall them now. I gave my book away about 15 years ago, and strictly use Stedman's Med/Surg Equipment words, Stedman's Surgery words, and Vera Pyle's latest. I think what you're seeing is an entry before Hasson was verified. The same thing happened with Steffee/Steffe and Veress/Verress. If there were two spellings for Hasson/Hassan, I would think Vera's book would clarify. Time will tell, though. Ya never know in this business.

SKIN:  Lots of seborrheic keratoses.  He does have an elevated 9 mm papule on left side of the face, which has some vascularization and central core.  It almost looks like acanthokeratosis, but basal cell carcinoma cannot be fully ruled out.  No other suspicious lesions.  He does have some miliary rubra on the back.

On his right shin he has superficial change that appears like a dermatified broma; however, it is not as nodular beneath the shin, but it is definitely excoriated or irritated on the surface.

I just cannot find any info on these two - sorry this is so long.  I am covering for someone and would prefer not to send to the editor!!  TIA
