Believe me, it does not pay to question whether the dictated information is accurate. We had a bunch of dummies (nurses and PA's, not doctors) dictating for their employers at our hospital. They consistently misinterpreted lab values, dosages, imaging reports, and even the assessment and plan of consultants. After we provided ample evidence of this to management, hospitalists (doctors) were hired to dictate for the admitting physicians and our production requirement was increased by 10% for medical and 33% for radiology. As disturbing as it is, you would do much better to type whatever is dictated. They don't pay us enough to second-guess the *professionals*.

having diabetes puts them at risk for hypertension, but not ALL of them have it. Way too generalizing in that regard.
with diabetes. About 3 in 10 people with Type 1 diabetes and more than half of people with Type 2 diabetes eventually develop high blood pressure.

The s/l Setticus or Suttigus Railroad Yard has been mentioned repeatedly on this, and I can't verify anything similar. I've spelled it a hundred ways, even with a *C* beginning. They also mention Englewood, so it may be nearby. Any help is appreciated.

Does this statement sound right:
CT angio reveals right and left kidneys of equal size. Both kidneys are single artery, vein and ureter.
There is no vascular nonlead identified on her CT angio
In particular, it is the word nonlead that I am questioning. THX!!!!!

how long would it take?
Subject: how long would it take?
How long would it take one of you experienced MT's that always answer my questions to transcribe an 1 1/2 of dictation? The doctor speaks english, is very easy, I have very little research to do and it still takes me about 10-12 hours with interuptions.
How long would it take you?
How long would it take?
Subject: How long would it take?
It has always been said it should take double the time to transcribe that it did to dictate. If it is easy dictation and not too fast, should be able to do it in 2 1/2 hours.
How long have you been doing this? sm

It does take some time and experience to be able to do transcription that fast.

I"ve been working as an MT only five months since school. No one reviews my work before the doctor. He hates me to leave a blank, but how long is fair for me to search for this type of work at 8 cents per line? I've spent over an hour.

probably shortening terms; might be choosing between Total Condylar II through III (which go by many names like GSB, TCP, TCII,TCIII etc.)and a hinged prosthesis...and they won't know which one until they go in and see the actual damage or injury; or, if it's a revision, which components will work best....
