If it remains elevated, I would then do a CT scan of the abdomen and pelvis to rule out astringent compressure on the femoral vein.
It sounds like he is saying extringent compressure, but this is the only thing I can find to match...

Giving a male patient estrogen can help reduce growth of his prostate cancer as it's the testosterone that spurs growth. Obviously, it doesn't always work -- then you TURP or use radiation, etc.
