Is either one acceptable? I find both in Dorlands, however, there is only a definition of the work leukocytosis, under leucocytosis there is no definition. I am confused about this word. Anyone?

Per the AAMT BOS it is preferred to use the spelling of of this word and other British/Canadian/Australian versions of words as they are spelled in the country for which you are transcribing them. So, that would be orthopedics here in the US.
