on search at Dogpile.com I find a couple of references using an "a", but TONS of hits with an E including more notable sites - take that as you will, but I would got with "E" in there.

When I google it, I'm finding both. Cannot locate it in a Stedman's book. Doctor spells with "a" but you can't always go by the spellings!
