In Stedman's GI book they have both listed together, with Roux-en-Y listed first; so they are both acceptable but the first is usally preferred. I guess it would depend if you are on a verbatim account.

because the most important thing is whether or not the pain is radiating down into the extremities. That would be radiculopathy (commonly called sciatica), and it's not a good thing.

I can't find anything on a "limb of a sling". I thought maybe he could be saying "end" but I'm not sure. (ESL doctor).
