Hi, Would it be acceptable to type "The patient had a Rotablator procedure...." or should it be "..a rotablator procedure..." ?

There is a Rotablator device used in atherectomies (removal of plaque and debris from arteries). Sometimes they use slang like "rotablating" for the process.

there is trade name. There is no rotablator spelled with a small r sm.

Rotablator is a trade name for Boston Scientific Rotablator. It is always spelled with a capital R, never with a small r. Hope this helps.
