I'm new to this and just learning and I'm not sure where to look to see if these counts seem correct. CBC: RBC 4, WBC 3000. Do these numbers seem reasonable?

The studies demonstrated carotid artery disease but, also, she has a platelet count of 1004 k per cmm and persistent reduction in her hemoglobin and hematocrit at 9.4 and 31.5.
Does anyone know how to format this? I can't find the K at all in relation to these values, but doc is clearly saying, 1004 K per cmm. thank you.

K is abbreviation for thousands; also used as abbreviation for potassium. platelets are expressed in thousands.
I think the 1004 k/cmm should be expressed this way.
