Under EMG guidance, we followed the same pattern as before with 100 units right (SCN), 100 units left levator, 125 units of the right trapezius apex, 25 units right occipitalis, and 100 units in the left splenius capitis.

In response to Mark's question, "5 cc of 1% lidocaine was or were injected", the text from the grammar website below, from the topic, "Subject-Verb Agreement", explains why "WERE" was the right word there. Per that text, the "5 mL" (but not the "lidocaine") becomes the Subject, and the Verb should be in plural.
