any procedure or disease attributed to a person's name should no longer carry an 's, thus Morton neuroma. I am really sorry to say this, as I really do appeciate QA support, but from what I have seen from your posts, you are very uninformed.

Sorry, should have been more specific. Dictator is probably slurring the word "ophthalmic" drops. There is no thalmic drop. The word "thalamic" refers to something else entirely. Please just type out ophthalmic drops.

Some sort of form called "Card-ex" is what I am looking for.

type protime, even when they dictate it. Set your expander to expand protime to prothrombin time because that is truly the correct way to type this on a medical report. That way when they undergo audit it will not come back to transcription who didn't type it with HIPAA correctness. I wish they would educate doctors to dictate things correctly in the first place to avoid all this, but I think even if they did the dictator would still dictate things the way he "thinks" in his head. It is hard to teach old dogs new tricks unless they are transcriptionists. If we don't learn new tricks they will replace us, right?

She is from Canada so may be they do things differently there. Yes, it seems like she knows everything, has an answer for everything, even if it is wrong, as in Lyderm, and there seems to be no stopping her.
I ask a few questions on this board and give some answers, only if I definitely know the answer. I feel it is difficult to do sounds like on this board without hearing the dictation. There is too much guessing going on.
