...a left Bartholin abscess which was not yet fluctuant. The patient was placed on Augmentin and sitz baths. Today the abscess is approximately 3 x 4 centimeters. It is quite tense and incredibly tender. The _ metros or vetros__ overlying the abscess was infiltrated with a mixture of 0.5% Marcaine with epinephrine and 1% lidocaine with epinephrine.
