Do you think the doc is saying "a 7" as in pain is a 7 out of 10? Just an idea.

Hi,
Is there a pain scale that is commonly referred to for leukemia patients? I'm doing a clinic note on a patient, and in the PE section, I hear something that sounds like ecot 0 (zero). The first thing that pops into my head is Ficat, but I don't think that's what it would be. I often hear doctors mention the pain scale rating right along with the vital signs, and that's where this is dictated. I'm googling and researching this, but I'm not even sure where to look. Any suggestions?

An MRI scan of the lumbar spine was performed in an open unit. The quality of the scan is poor.
There is a retrolisthesis on the scan at L5-S1 with a s/l shelf of disc material and possible impingement of the right L5 and S1 nerve roots with a left lateral disc osteophyte complex as well.
Has anyone ever heard the term shelf of disc material?

Possibility that she is having pain around the instrumentation. Reviewed her last CT scan from November. This shows progressing fusion, but there are still areas of s/l fry-grenti graft at that time.

is definitely not obese. Weight is only 148 pounds. He says the s/l Tippin scale rating is 5.8 and that this man should not have survived. It's some kind of rating on the severity of a heart attack I think, but I can find absolutely nothing. Thanks for trying though!
