Hello..filling in for ortho surgeon.  Sounds like Sin these screws...any help?


 


With a #15 blade a 3.5 cm incision was made over the external _________ridge.  A subperiosteal dissection was carried out laterally, adjacent to the ramus and anteriorly along the ramus of the mandible. 


 


Sounds like baked ridge in the mouth?

in the background dictating away calling the instrument he was using during his procedure "the green doo-hickey with the spring" and just kept dictating away as if nothing.  The poor transcriptionist who got that report went with my blessing.  You wonder where they got their medical license at...

may be just too new to have much info on.  I did see an article on Google with the Oakland Bone and Joint Specialists, where he and a colleague, Dr. Jeffrey Mann, were pioneering a new total ankle replacement.  This is copyrighted for 2007-2008, so maybe he has developed dressings, bandages and such. 


I'm gonna save this one, and if I do find it verified in any medical books, etc., will send you a message about it.  Thanks for sharing!

there is a Roger Mann Award from the American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society, but I see nothing about a Roger Mann dressing.  There is a Robert Jones dressing however.  Sorry could not be more help.

I got a doc who refers to diabetic medications as oral hyperglycemics.  He will say this several times in a report and sometimes it sounds like hypoglycemics.  By the time he has said hyper or hypo 1000 times in a report, I get confused.  It should be oral hyperglycemics correct?  TIA
