AICD programming
Subject: AICD programming
I'm near the end of a report for implantation of a dual-chamber AICD, and the device programming is being dictated. The doc says: The implantable cardioverter-defibrillator was programmed to 3 zones of detection. Ventricular fibrillation at 200 beats per mionute. Therapy #1 to #6 defibrillation with 35 joules. Configuration s/l BEAT Y X for #1 to 4 and AXB for #5 and 6 with ATP during charging. I believe I blanked this BEAT Y X in a previous report, and QA left a blank as well. I hate that! I want to figure this out! I tried googling, but I'm not having any luck. Can anyone steer me in the right direction?

noninvasive s/l protropert description
Subject: noninvasive s/l protropert description
Hmm, I'm stuck on this. The patient is going to have a dental procedure done. "However, prior to the aforementioned dental procedure, which should be a noninvasive [s/l protropert description or maybe prescription] by her dentist, she should hold the Fragmin one day prior." He does talk fast and mumble a bit, so I may be off on my s/l. Any ideas?

Ok, punctuation on this one is making me crazy. I'm finding it every way possible and am not sure which is the most acceptable.

Usually no comma is needed after non, and since blood flow modifies "studies," then I would go with noninvasive blood-flow studies. Hope that helps :)
