Half the time when doctors spell something for me, they spell it wrong, and the other half of the time I look it up to make sure they're right - and they're usually not.


As far as singular/plural or subject/verb agreement, even with American-born docs - fuggeddaboudit!!!!

I have seen it in books both ways, online both ways, but a national got on me years ago.....their QA confusing....getting called on it for both ways....protime or pro time.  Just makes sense to me if the word is prothrombin then short for that would be protime......


No MD's office has ever complained to me YET about this issue - it was the national years ago.....
