Type as Benicar HCT...it is a brand name drug and there is no such thing as Benicar hydrocortisone. This is where your medical sense and drug references come in handy.
FYI-just regular Benicar contains only olmesartan so the HCT signifies the addition of hydrochlorothiazide, hence the brand name Benicar HCT.

Benicar HCT is what my Saunders Pharmaceutical book states, like you know by now. There is regular Benicar (which I am on) and then there is Benicar HCT, which includes hydrochlorothiazide in it for hypertension also.

In the Sanders Pharmaceutical Drug Book 2008 it shows Benicar HCT, no slash

HCT is hydrochlorothiazide and when together, Benicar HCT means hydrocholorthiazide. It should not have to be spelled out and cannot be mistaken for hydrocortisone because there is no such thing as Benicar hydrocortisone. I would leave as is as your QA and others have stated. Hopefully this clears it up.
